About Mrs. Shaffer

Welcome!

My name is Mrs. Shaffer.

Currently I am a Kindergarten Paraprofessional and a senior at Augusta State University where I am earning my Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education.

I am always on the lookout for exciting ideas for the classroom and this blog provides me with a place to store those ideas without cluttering my office anymore than it already is.

If you have stumbled across this humble blog...Welcome! This blog is intended to be just an idea file that I can pull from one day when I am in my own classroom. I am currently in school persuing my degree in early childhood education, so along the way not only will there be ideas from creative people in the blog world but might I may also show my own work as I develop as an educator. Currently I work as a paraprofessional (new fancy word for Teacher's Assistant) in a Kindergarten classroom. My dream is to work with older students but as any beginning teacher will tell you, you get what they give you! I believe that all children are a blessing from God. Some lift you up and help you realize your potential, and others are placed in your path to make you grow. Either way I feel blessed to have been called to work with such blessings!
